Connections: A space for growth and change

Counselling isn’t about being broken and needing fixed, it’s about becoming, it's about nurturing and facilitating growth and change. At Connections, we offer a safe, inclusive space for personal growth, healing and reflection. Whether you're seeking support, self-discovery, or meaningful change, we’re here to walk alongside you.

Meeting You Where You Are

We know that life is complex. Sometimes you carry old wounds that need tending. Sometimes you're simply searching for clarity, balance, or a deeper sense of self. Whatever brings you here, the counselling relationship can be a powerful place of connection — one that doesn’t rush, judge, or demand. At Connections, we honour the uniqueness of every journey. We don’t impose timeframes. Each counselling relationship begins with a single session and continues as long as it feels right. Our counsellors are committed to ethical practice,

continuous growth, and compassionate presence. We believe that when people feel safe and seen, real transformation becomes possible. And it’s not just clients who are nurtured here. We are building a community where counsellors, too, feel valued, supported, and able to work authentically.

Our Journey and Invitation

We are also welcoming counsellors who share our values of accessibility, empathy, and inclusion to join us in co-creating this community. Whether you’re here to seek support or to offer it, we invite you into a space where growth is nurtured, and change is possible.

Online Counselling

Online Counselling

Online counselling offers a range of benefits that make mental health support and use of a therapeutic relationship more accessible and personalised. It enables you to connect with compassionate, trained professionals from the comfort of your own home, creating a safe space for sharing. With flexible scheduling, you can more easily fit sessions into your busy life, ensuring that your mental well-being remains a priority. This approach is particularly helpful for those in remote areas or with mobility challenges, as well as anyone who prefers not to visit a counsellor or counsellor’s premises in person. Embracing online counselling means taking a proactive step toward nurturing your mental health in a way that feels comfortable and tailored to you. If you're ready to explore this journey, please click here to connect and inquire about becoming a new client. We offer a free initial consultation online or phone for 10-15 minutes if you would like to see about how it feels to connect with me and work together.

Connections tiered fee structure

·     Pay What You Can - Tier 1

For individuals on less that £20,000 per year, such as those receiving Universal Credit or Jobseeker's Allowance. Clients can pay any variable amount between £1 and £30. These sessions are funded through donations and grants and therefore might be subject to a waiting system. We offer up to 15 sessions in Tier 1 with a check in every 5. As Tier 1 is a funded program, we would look to end at (or around) sessions 15. However, under considered circumstances there might be scope to continue beyond the designated 15 sessions.

·      £40 per session - Tier 2

Individuals earning between the Scottish Living Wage (£11.44 per hour) and the average Scottish wage, up to £30,000 per year. We recommend (but are not restricted to) 10-15 sessions and will have a check-in every 5.

·      £50 per session - Tier 3

All individuals earning over £30,000 per year. We recommend (but are not restricted to) 10-15 sessions and will have a check-in every 5.

In Person

In Person

In-person counselling offers a deeply personal and engaging approach to mental health support and personal development. Meeting face-to-face with a trained professional fosters a strong therapeutic relationship, allowing for open and honest communication in a safe, welcoming environment. The traditional setting can enhance focus and commitment to your journey of change, making it easier to delve into specific areas. In-person sessions enrich the therapeutic experience and allow for a more nuanced understanding of your feelings and experiences. If you're ready to embark on this transformative journey, please click here to connect and inquire about becoming a new client.

Our Approach

All counselling at Connections is offered under a clear contract, to ensure you receive safe, ethical support from trained and qualified professionals. You’ll be sent the contract before your first session, with time to read it and ask any questions. There are many different styles of therapy, but it’s the relationship that heals, regardless of modality. That’s why we offer free introductory calls, so you can get a feel for the counsellor and choose someone you feel safe and comfortable with. Please know: working with a trained, insured counsellor is essential. Counselling requires years of learning, self-reflection, and ethical practice. Anyone can call themselves a therapist, but true therapeutic work demands skill, depth, and a commitment to doing no harm. You deserve nothing less.
